Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No account is needed to run this tool.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Organize PDF Pages runs in your browser, so your file is processed on your own device and is not uploaded to our server. The page only downloads the free code libraries it needs.

Should I check the downloaded file?

Yes. Open the result and confirm its pages and content before sharing or deleting your original.

When to organize PDF pages

  • Scans in the wrong order: pages that were fed into the scanner out of sequence.
  • Moving an appendix: bring a summary page to the front or send a cover page to the back.
  • Dropping pages: leave out blank pages or pages you don't want to share.
  • After merging: fix the order of a document you built with Merge PDF.

How to write the page order

Type the page numbers in the order you want, separated by commas. Some examples for a 5-page PDF:

  • 5,1,2,3,4 moves the last page to the front.
  • 2,3,4,5,1 moves the first page to the end.
  • 1,2,4,5 keeps everything except page 3.
  • 5,4,3,2,1 reverses the whole document.

Only the pages you list are kept, and each page appears once, even if you type it twice.

Good to know before you start

Not sure of the page numbers? Open the PDF in your usual viewer and note the numbers in its thumbnails first. If you want to delete many pages, Remove Pages may be quicker. If pages are upside down, use Rotate PDF.

Why organize with PDFCloudy

No drag-and-drop fiddling on a small screen: type the order and download. Your file is processed on your own device, with no account.

More questions about organizing PDFs

Can I duplicate a page?

No. Each page number is included once. To repeat a page, merge the file with a copy of that page using Merge PDF.

Can I use ranges like 1-5?

List each page number separately, for example 1,2,3,4,5.

What happens to pages I don't list?

They are left out of the new file. Your original PDF still has all of its pages.

Can I split the pages into separate files instead?

Yes. Use Split PDF to save every page as its own PDF.
