1. Agreement
These Terms of Use apply to pdfcloudy.com and its PDF tools (the “Service”), operated by LimeWorks Digital Inc. (“LimeWorks Digital”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
PDFCloudy offers free, browser-based tools to edit, convert, organize and secure PDF files. No account is needed. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
3. Your files and your responsibility
- You keep all rights to the files you use with PDFCloudy. Most tools process files in your browser, so we never receive them (see the Privacy Policy).
- Only use documents you own or have permission to process. This includes unlocking, protecting, editing or converting them.
- Always check the finished file before you rely on it, share it or delete your original. Conversions may not keep every layout detail, and very large files can be slow or fail in some browsers.
- The PDF to PDF/A tool creates an archival-style copy; it does not certify ISO PDF/A compliance.
- The Redact PDF tool only draws black boxes on top of the page. Text and data underneath may remain in the file, so it is not secure redaction and must not be used to hide confidential information.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
- remove passwords or protection from documents you are not allowed to unlock;
- overload, attack or disrupt the Site, or access it with bots in a way that harms other users;
- send spam or misleading messages through the contact form.
5. Outside services
Some features rely on outside services, such as public code libraries, Google Fonts and the MyMemory translation service used by Translate PDF. The Site also links to other websites, such as Amazon. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
6. Our content
The PDFCloudy name, logo, design and website code belong to LimeWorks Digital Inc. or its licensors. The open-source libraries the tools use remain under their own licences. Files you create with the tools are yours.
7. No warranty
The Service is free and provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for legal, archival, compliance, accessibility or production use.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, LimeWorks Digital Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to CAD $50.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
