How to use Split PDF
Choose one PDF and run the tool. It creates one PDF for each page and downloads them together in a ZIP archive.
What the result contains
This is a page-by-page split; it does not ask for custom page ranges. Use Extract PDF Pages when you need only certain pages.
Practical tip
Open the ZIP after downloading and check the page numbers in the filenames before forwarding pages.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to run this tool.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Split PDF runs in your browser, so your file is processed on your own device and is not uploaded to our server. The page only downloads the free code libraries it needs.
Should I check the downloaded file?
Yes. Open the result and confirm its pages and content before sharing or deleting your original.
When to split a PDF
- Sending one page: share just the signed page of a contract or a single page of a statement instead of the whole document.
- Batch scans: you scanned a stack of one-page forms or receipts into one file and need each one saved separately.
- Upload portals: some school, government and job sites accept only one page per upload.
- Classroom handouts: give students each worksheet as its own file.
Good to know before you split
Split PDF saves every page as its own PDF and puts them all in one ZIP file. A 40-page document gives you 40 files, numbered in page order.
Need only a few pages instead? Use Extract Pages to pull out just the pages you want, or Remove Pages to delete the ones you don't.
Why split with PDFCloudy
No sign-up, no software and no waiting for an upload. The pages are separated on your own device, so your document never leaves your computer or phone. That makes it a good fit for bank statements, pay stubs and other private files.
