This tool draws an opaque redaction rectangle over the selected area. For high-risk legal/compliance redaction, verify the result with a dedicated professional redaction workflow.

How to use Redact PDF

Choose a PDF, select a page and rectangle coordinates, then run the tool. It draws a black box and turns that page into an image, so the text under the box is removed.

What the result contains

Only the chosen page is flattened: its text can no longer be selected or searched, and other pages stay unchanged. The same details elsewhere in the file (other pages, the file name or its properties) are not changed.

Practical tip

Before sharing, open the downloaded PDF and search (Ctrl+F or Cmd+F) for the hidden words to confirm they are gone.
