Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to run this tool.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Excel to PDF runs in your browser, so your file is processed on your own device and is not uploaded to our server. The page only downloads the free code libraries it needs.
Should I check the downloaded file?
Yes. Open the result and confirm its pages and content before sharing or deleting your original.
When to convert Excel to PDF
- Sharing data that shouldn't change: send a price list, schedule or report that people can read but not edit by accident.
- Viewing without Excel: check a spreadsheet you received on a phone, tablet or Chromebook.
- Attachments and records: add a team roster, inventory list or timesheet to an email or file.
- Printing: print rows of data without setting up print areas in Excel.
Good to know before you convert
Excel to PDF accepts .xlsx and .xls files. It exports the rows of each sheet into PDF pages, reading up to 5,000 rows per sheet.
The focus is on the data, not the design. Colors, merged cells, charts and exact column widths may not look the same as in Excel. Formulas appear as their results. For an exact copy of your formatting, use File โ Export โ PDF in Excel.
Tidy the sheet first: delete empty rows and columns. Every sheet is exported, so to leave a sheet out, delete it from a copy of the file and convert the copy.
Why convert with PDFCloudy
Spreadsheets often hold salaries, customer lists or budgets. Here the file is converted on your own device and never uploaded, with no account needed.
